The Admiral of His Home

The PERSONALITIES series is surreal and ironic in nature.

These are small works of art on paper, made from original materials, without photocopies or photocopies. The works are figurative, depicting figures in full silhouette, but composed of heterogeneous fragments – as if each body part came from a different source.

This creates a slightly absurd, humorous effect, in which the characters appear as characters from a grotesque theater or dream.

Despite the simplicity of their means of expression, the collages possess narrative potential – each character seems to have their own story, gesture, and character. Unique and one-of-a-kind. As always, in The Artist is Dead’s artistic works, one can sense irony and light humor, but also a certain nostalgia for a bygone world or the fate of humanity.
