Skip to contentKacper Bozek was born in 1974 in Cracow. He graduated from the Print Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow presenting the thesis created in copperplate and lithography workshops under supervision of prof. Stanislaw Wejman. Since 2011 he has been working there as an Assistant Professor.
In November 2013 he received Ph.D. based on his dissertation inspired by the life of Jan Potocki and his novel Manuscript found in Saragossa. He presented his works on around 30 solo shows in Poland and abroad. He has also participated in many group exhibitions and was awarded with several prizes such as: Grand Prix in Print of the Year 2002 in Krakow, scholarship of the City of Krakow 2003 (for creative professions), 2nd prize in Premio Leonardo Sciascia amateur d’estampes (7th Edition in 2013) in Italy, 1st Prize on Grafiteka, Warsaw 2019, 2nd Prize on the 11th Kochi Internationsl Triennial.
He is mostly involved in working with intaglio techniques, especially etching and aquatint.
One of his main inspirations is literature. He completed two portfolios of prints based on Master and Margarita and Manuscript Found in Zaragoza.
