Bio

Olaf Paweł Michalski, born in Warsaw in 1983.
From an early age, he was deeply involved in the world of theatre, particularly its behind-the-scenes aspects. He developed his interests through hands-on experience backstage at the Nowy Theatre in Warsaw, focusing on costume design and construction. He mastered techniques in stage makeup, wig-making, and visual arts related to set design.

From September 1998 to June 2003, he attended the Wojciech Gerson High School of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he earned the title of Professional Visual Artist, specializing in Exhibition Design.
He then studied at the Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski Post-Secondary Vocational School No. 12 from October 2003 to July 2005, specializing in Advertising Organization Techniques.
From October 2005 to July 2010, he pursued his university studies at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University, Faculty of Historical and Social Sciences, earning a master’s degree in Cultural History.

He has collaborated with cultural institutions on projects involving the restoration of historic interiors and has created artistic and stylistically refined interior designs for public spaces.

In his drawings, detail is always paramount. He excels at accurately reflecting the reality of a given era. If he illustrates a character from the 19th century, you can be certain that the hat or dress they wear is true to the fashion of that specific time.
Michalski’s extensive knowledge allows him to precisely capture the style and atmosphere of any historical period.

He also teaches drawing.
His artistic role models include Jan Marcin Szancer and Maja Berezowska.
