The unique starting material for this collage was the original 19th-century prints by Johannes Heinrich Maria Hubert RENNEFELD (Neuss 1832 – Amsterdam 1877). This Dutch artist depicted the everyday lives of ordinary people.

The Artist is Dead added new elements to the prints. Now these images are more disturbing, yet deeply romantic.

Minimalist in form, yet powerful in message. A father, a guide and protector, guiding his children. Masculine, solid, decisive, and protective.
